We've all experienced the feeling... sitting at our desk for hours, hunched over the computer, and trying to be creative and productive at the same time.
As time drags on, we become increasing frustrated because we aren't getting done what we want and we aren't having fun doing what we are doing. It's kind of like, "The thrill is gone..." Know what I mean?
So here's a simple trick that works in as little as 2 minutes.
1. Stand up straight and square your shoulders and spread your feet apart.
2. Suck your tummy in.
3. Take a deep breath in, filling your diaphram while raising your hands above your head at the same time.
4. Hold for the count of 5.
5. Slowly release the air while bringing your hands back down to your side.
6. Count to 5 and repeat.
7. Do 5 sets.
Increasing the oxygen into your body while stretching increases blood flow as well as oxygen flow into your cells. You'll feel refreshed, energized, and refocused. When you sit back down, you'll be able to think and work better. The body was made to move - not to sit in an office chair for hours on end. Taking a few minutes twice a day to breathe deeply will help you be more productive, creative, and happier.
