Here’s a great recipe that is delicious! Easy to make ahead and reheat. Easy to freeze andcook when you want a mouth-watering meal without all the work! It takes about 15 minutes to gather, chop, and mix everything together. Another 15-20 minutes to cook.
Pretty enough to impress the boss or your mother-in-law!
In a medium sized bowl combine:
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
1 clove garlic (or 1/2 t. chopped garlic from jar)
1/2 cup chive and onion flavored cream cheese
2 T. milk
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 can chopped water chestnuts
Mix together until well blended but with texture.
1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
Saute the garlic, green onion, and mushrooms until soft. Add cream cheese and milk. Stir until well mixed and smooth. Add chicken and water chestnuts.
Open pkg of crescent rolls. Arrange triangles into 4 squares. Pat perferated lines smooth. Add 1/2 c. mixture to each square and wrap as a bundle. Press edges tightly to seal. Place on a cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick spray.
Combine the bread crumbs and cheese. Sprinkle onto tops of each bundle. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes until golden brown.
I like to serve with cranberry relish and fresh, crunchy veggies.
