I will apologize but I won't make excuses... I dropped the ball in the 60-day Daily post challenge and I'm sorry. That's pretty unusual for me. Over the past week, I chose to do nothing. Why?
I became overwhelmed. I tried shooting a couple of videos but the technology side of it kicked my butt.
I cleaned off my desk and somehow packed my 60-day topic list in one of the folders. I finally found it today.
I was feeling sorry for myself because my ankle hurts. I seriously injured the ligaments and tendons in my ankle with a really bad sprain the first week in June. I was trying to get away from a dog that had it's teeth in my other leg... well, suffice it to say that having to keep my foot up for hours each day due to swelling and pain, has really put a damper in my activities. I guess I don't heal as fast as I did in my 30's! I've had to cancel 2 speaking gigs, change how I'm doing an event in Vegas, etc. I'm not thrilled that it will be several more months before it's healed...
But, in spite of a week of inactivity, my business continues to flourish. Why? Because I designed it that way!
So here's what I hope you'll take away from this post - life happens. Don't ignore it but keep it in mind so you build a business that continues to work for you, even when you aren't there to work it.
