Some people think its training people to "trick, deceive or lie" in order to get sales. Some think it's about coming up with funny slogans and logos. And others it's a gift that people are born with.
For the purpose of this article, here's my definition: An effective marketing mindset is H to the 3rd Power. Let me explain...
The whole purpose of a marketing message is to touch, engage, and get people to take action. Right?
The most effective online marketers I see are the ones who implement the "H to the 3rd Power" strategy, even if they don't realize it.
H to the 3rd Power is:
H1: Head. We come up with thoughts and ideas in our head. It is our idea incubation and birthing center.
H2: Heart. We filter these ideas through our heart. Does it feel good? Feel true? Feel sincere? Will others feel our authenticity and concern?
H3: Hands. The best ideas begin in our head, are filtered through our hearts, and then flow into our hands where we can reach out, take action, and impact lives.
Think about your marketing - do you consciously think about the message you are sending? Or are you leaving it to chance? If you spent 15 minutes reviewing your marketing message to ensure it was the image you wanted to project, you'll make small tweaks that result in increased sales.
The right marketing mindset can truly be the difference between an average business and one that is enormously successful.
