Many of us slow down over the summer months. We spend time with our kids, extended family, take vacations, and move at a more leisurely pace. That's a good thing.
But Labor Day, and fall, are right around the corner!
How are you going to build momentum and traction so you end the year meeting or exceeding the goals you set? Here are 3 tips to get you energized and motivated so you hit the ground running on September 8th:
1. Review your goals: The business climate and consumer culture is every-changing. Do your goals reflect what is happening in today's market? Goals should stretch you, not set you up for failure.
2. Review your strategies: What actions were you going to take to make your goals a reality? Based on today's culture and climate, are they still relevant? With consistent action, will these strategies help you arrive at your desired destination? If not, what should be changed? What should be eliminated? What should be added? And how will these activities fit into your daily calendar for systematic implementation?
3. Reach out to current contacts: (1) previous clients/customers/patients - what incentive or additional product or service can you offer that they want and are willing to pay for? (2) potential referral partners - people who also work with your ideal prospects, but for a non-competing product or service. Can you create a joint campaign that reaches out to both of your databases and brings in new customers for each of you? (3) Reach out to influencers - what groups, organizations, or associations do they belong to? Can they introduce you to the person who schedules speakers so you can speak to new groups and generate new leads of ideal prospects?
Summer was great but it's time to revisit, rethink, and reassess our strategies. With a few tweaks and consistent action, you CAN exceed the goals you set and end the year with a big smile on your face!
