In thinking about Zig and his impact on my life and career, I was wondering what I could possibly write that someone hasn't already posted. But creating something new to say isn't really my purpose. I would like to share a few thoughts from Zig which truly made a difference in my life.
Zig and I are both contributing authors in the book, "Masters of Sales". He wrote about the importance of integrity, honesty, and ethics. He said, "True selling professionals don't talk about ethics; they LIVE ethically!" He taught me that "sale" and "sell" aren't bad 4-letter words because when done correctly, we are providing solutions that solve problems.
One of my favorite topics that Zig touched on regularly was the importance of taking an hour early each morning to read good books. He always added, "I read the newspaper and the Bible everyday. That way I know what both sides are up to!"
I am grateful to Zig Ziglar for the important lessons he taught me. And I am equally grateful to his family for supporting him in the many travels that took him away from his home and loved ones. Thank you so much for allowing him to share his talents, beliefs, experiences, and ideas. It truly mattered to millions.
